Saved $30K with trenchless vs open cut.

This review is about my first visit from Savy to assess my project with a video inspection of my pipes & the tech, Marc. I have cast iron pipes inside my slab. While the pipes aren't broken (thank goodness), they are 76 yrs old & prone to failure, cracks, bellying, etc. Therefore, before I do any renovations, they have to be dealt with. Question is, jackhammer & create a new line, or go trenchless or 'sleeve' them from inside? First, Aiello came to do a video inspection. The tech told me they couldn't sleeve the pipes & jack hammering was the only way. Their estimate was over $50K. I called Savy & Sons to see what they thought, bc this is their specialty. Marc was my technician, and he was outstanding. Scheduling him was easy, great communication from the home office & Marc. We talked about the project prior the appt. He was kind (even sweet to my curious cat) and did a great job of explaining what he would do & why. First, he chose to start the inspection from the start of the line, which the Aiello tech did not do. We watched the video inspection together, and he explained everything we were seeing. He found 2 additional lines coming to the main drain (that the Aiello tech missed, or didn't mention). Additionally, Marc had me work with him to run water from all connections so he could map out the architecture of the pipes. He also told me how deep they were in the slab and better understand the project whether I hired Savy or not. I asked a lot of questions about the process & "what ifs". He was patient, & didn't make any question feel dumb to ask. He also explained the possible issues they may face one they start the project & how those would be handled. I left my experience with Marc feeling as if my project is something they care about executing with a high standard & they have expertise in this specific type of work. I am SO happy to have found a company who has a solution where my home won't have to be jack-hammered. (My pipes run under built-in shelves & a master closet, so all that would get ruined, or a new trench project would need to be created. A big expensive mess.) When I received Savy's quote, Marc called me to follow up. I am saving $30K by going trenchless with Savy. I will post another review when we do the work, and see how it goes! I"m feeling confident with Savy & Sons.

In today’s world, it’s hard to get a contractor to come out to your house and provide an estimate, never mind complete the work timely and effectively. Savy and Sons exemplifies how a contractor should run their business. We had an absolutely perfect experience with Savy. Communication, professionalism, a great price and a team of folks who truly cared about our experience, not just getting the job done quickly and grabbing a check. They saved us tens of thousands of dollars by sleeving a crumbling sewer pipe under our house vs jacking up the house and replacing the pipe.
